Mark Harendorf

Mark has been practising accounting for over 30 years and is a principal in the firm HSM LLP located in Markham, Ontario. Mark services a wide variety of clients in many arears of business. A large majority of his clients are professionals, i.e. doctors, lawyers, dentists, pharmacists and other self-employed service providers.

Mark’s clientele includes a fair number of baby boomer clients who are selling, retiring and/or transitioning out from their businesses.

Catherine Phillips Senior Counsel & Assistant Manager, Trustee Services

Catherine Phillips is Senior Counsel and the Assistant Manager of the Trustee Services department at the Law Society of Ontario. Catherine has been with the Law Society since 2012, prior to that she was in private practice for 10 years and was also counsel at the Department of Justice.

In her current role, Catherine obtains trusteeship orders over lawyer or paralegal law practices in situations where plans for an orderly practice wind-up are not in place, or in any situation where client files, funds or property is at risk. Her department also assists licensees, their staff or family members, informally where possible, to assist in the wind-up of law practices.

Douglas Strelshik

Douglas Strelshik has been practising law since 1988 exclusively in the areas of personal injury (including helping persons who have sustained injuries as a result of motor vehicle accidents, medical negligence and product liability), insurance litigation and real estate.

Since 1995 Douglas started his own firm where he changed the focus of his personal injury practice to represent only injured parties.

Currently Douglas is an Education Committee Member of the Toronto Lawyers

Association. Several years ago, he was a Trustee at the association.
