Michael Brown

A graduate of the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, Michael was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2010. Michael's practice at Merovitz Potechin LLP focuses primarily on representing and providing advice to clients on real estate development, purchase, construction/re-development, financing and sale transactions. He also assists clients with business law matters such as lease review, planning and development proposals. In 2003, Michael was elected as one of Eastern Ontario's youngest municipal councillors for the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley. Michael continues to serve on various municipal boards and committees for the City of Ottawa including the Board of Directors of the South Nation Conservation Authority. When Michael is not in the office, he enjoys travelling around the Ottawa Valley area on thrifting/antiquing excursions and visiting his extended family in Brockville.

Lynn LeMesurier Planning Committee Co-Chair

Lynn Le Mesurier, Vice & Hunter LLP & Planning Committee Member Lynn articled with Vice & Hunter and was called to the Bar in 1995. Lynn subsequently formed her own partnership where she practiced in the areas of real estate, corporate and estate law. In July 2000, Lynn returned to Vice & Hunter to practice in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, wills and estate administration. Lynn was an instructor in the real estate section of the Bar Admission Course for several years and is a long standing member of the County of Carleton Law Association and its East Region Solicitors Conference Planning Committee.

Margot Leduc Pomerleau

Margot practices in the area of civil litigation, focusing on commercial, real property, construction and financial loss related issues. Fluently bilingual, Margot represents both francophone and anglophone clients and argues matters before the courts in both official languages. Recently joining the partnership in September 2018, Margot also serves as MBC’s practice group manager for the Financial Loss Advisory Group (FLAG) where she advocates for clients claiming financial losses in financial advisor negligence cases across the country. Margot also represents subtrades, general contractors, and owners in construction related matters. A proud member of the Ontario Bar Association, The Advocates Society, the Advocacy Club, AJEFO and the County of Carleton Law Association, Margot also delights in supporting a variety of Eastern Ontario and capital area community groups and events including educating lawyers and individuals through advocacy programs and teaching at the University of Ottawa. Outside the office Margot enjoys equestrian riding, time at the cottage, entertaining family and friends, as well as spending quality time traveling or fishing with her husband.

Kathleen Robichaud Sole Practitioner & Planning Committee Co-Chair

Kathleen Robichaud is a sole practitioner practicing in Manotick, Ontario. She has a business degree from the University of Ottawa obtained in 1994. She earned her law degree at Queens University, graduating in 1997. She articled at Perley-Robertson Hill & McDougall in Ottawa. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1999 and is a Lawyer member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Shortly after articling, Kathleen moved to Toronto and practiced there until returning to the Ottawa area and settling in Manotick in July of 2010. She has worked primarily as a sole practitioner throughout her years of practice. Kathleen is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association. She is co-chair of the organizing Committee for the East Region Solicitors Conference. She is also Past-Chair of the Sole, Small and General Practice Section of the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) and Past-Chair of the Pro Bono Sub Committee of the OBA. She is the Vice-Chair for the for the Solo, Small Firm and General Practice forum of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) and an East Region Representative of Council for the OBA. Kathleen has been a member of the Discipline Committee of the Professional Engineers of Ontario since 2013 and presides over professional conduct hearings as part of panel of adjudicators. Kathleen’s practice includes Corporate Law, Real Estate including development work and Wills and Estates.
