This panel focuses on the living realities facing Indigenous people in Canada and how to apply Indigenous law to those realities. They discuss the current state of living for Indigenous people in various communities, how Canada's legal history got us to this point and what is expected by the Judiciary when dealing with cases involving Indigenous people.
Eadit Rokach graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1999. She has been an Assistant Crown Attorney at the Scarborough Crown Attorney's office for 17 years. She has extensive criminal litigation experience conducting trials at the Ontario and Superior Court of Justice with particular knowledge conducting dangerous offender hearings.
