Russell MacCrimmon Since his call to the Bar in 2002, Russell has provided legal advice and representation to employers. Russell advises employers on the day-to-day legal issues that impact a workplace. He represents employers on workplace issues such as discipline, performance management, employment contracts, workplace policies and severance packages.Russell has extensive litigation experience and defends employers against wrongful dismissal and human rights claims. Russell has appeared before federal and provincial courts and administrative tribunals including the Ontario Superior Court, Ontario Court of Appeal, Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Federal Court of Canada, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal and the Public Service Labour Relations and Employment Board. Russell is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Bar of Nunavut.

 

Alexandra Wright-Mascotto

Alexandra Wright-Mascotto assists both provincially and federally regulated employers and is developing a practice in all areas of employment and labour law, including employment standards, labour relations, wrongful and unjust dismissal, occupational health and safety and human rights. Alexandra represents clients in disputes before various administrative bodies, including the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and in civil litigation before the Superior Court of Justice. Alexandra provides employers advisory assistance to help them manage their workforces, such as drafting, revising and assessing various agreements. Alexandra also has experience assisting with investigations involving workplace issues. Ms. Wright-Mascotto first joined our Ottawa office as a summer student in 2019 and completed her articles with us in 2020 and 2021. While in law school, Ms. Wright-Mascotto worked as a teaching assistant for contracts classes. She also competed in the Arnup Cup Trial Advocacy Competition and the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
