During this County of Carleton Law Association (CCLA) program the panelists, Sean May, Dominique Hussey, Atrisha Lewis, Vicky Ringuette, Karen Perron, and Mike Winward, consider multiple professionalism topics such as: Ontario wide court delays, the death of advocacy due to virtual trials, the importance of mentoring young lawyers, getting mentees to see the value of networking in-person, and the need for lawyers to be technologically competent.
The panelists also discuss whether Supreme Court of Canada (SCC) judges should be bilingual, and what impact this change would have on Aboriginal participation in SCC proceedings.
