Dr. Bhatla joined the Royal Ottawa Hospital in 1992. He currently holds the position of Chief of Psychiatry and Chief-of-Staff of the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group. He is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa and a Vice-Chairperson of the Consent and Capacity Board of Ontario. In addition to expertise in concurrent disorders, Dr. Bhatla has an interest in psychiatric ethics and is a member of the Editorial Committee of the Journal of Ethics in Mental Health. Dr. Bhatla is part of the telemedicine team at the Royal and was recognized as the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) telemedicine champion for the Champlain Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) in 2015. Dr. Bhatla received his BA with Honours from Harvard University in 1982. He obtained his MD from McGill University in 1987 and was awarded the Mona Bronfman Sheckman Award for the highest standing in psychiatry. He completed his Residency Training in Psychiatry and Fellowship in Addictions at New York Medical College where he received the Mead Johnson Award in Psychiatry.
Dylan McGuinty graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School with a Juris Doctor in Law in 2014 and was called to theOntario Bar in 2015. His main areas of practice are Wills and Estate Planning, Estate Administration,Trust Law, and assisting Executors and Legal Attorneys. He has developed and trademarked Tax SavingWills for Physicians, BusinessOwners, and retirees. Dylan has also represented clients at the SupremeCourt of Canada, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Landlord Tenant Board, and the OntarioLabour Relations Board. Dylan has taught Law, State and Citizen At Carleton University. He also currently sits on theBruyere Continuing CareBoard of Directors to advance the care of patients in need of sub-acute, geriatric and palliative care
Garifalia (Lia) Milousis is a member of the Acacia Group, practicing in our litigation department. Lia’s practice focuses on family law, as well as constitutional and human rights issues. She has international experience as a public speaker on issues pertaining to human rights and social justice. Prior to joining the Acacia Group, Lia was honoured to serve as Associate Legal Counsel for th Christian Legal Fellowship (CLF). In that role, Lia provided legal research for CLF’s Legal Team, contributed to the Christian Legal Journal, provided federal and provincial legal policy analysis, and assisted the CLF’s Legal Team with multiple public interest interventions, including before the Federal Court, Québec Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court of Canada.
